"The Doctor" is the alias adopted by a renegade Time Lord from Gallifrey who journeys through time and space with various companion in his obsolete and stolen Type 40 TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space.)
Though largely a believer in non-violent conflict resolution, he can also be a great warrior when left with no other option. Indeed, some civilisations in the universe translated the word doctor as warrior
Numerous good deeds aside, however, he was indisputably responsible for billions of deaths, many of which arose from his conclusion to the Last Great Time War. He was virtually the only Time Lord survivor of that great conflict with the Daleks, largely because it was he alone who ended it by obliterating both races.
From the latter years of his first incarnation onward, he had a pronounced affinity for Earth and the human race. After departing Gallifrey, he voluntarily chose to spend time on the planet and even owned property in Kent. Even before the destruction of Gallifrey, the Doctor spent much more time on Earth than on his own homeworld.

The Doctor along with the League of Time Master, aiding the Society with some information to stop the Organization to further damage the timeline that link most of the multiverse. Also they even have to fought themselve by another evil group of time traveler that threatening their involvement aiding the Society to make a better future
