Spike is a purple and green dragon. He is Twilight Sparkle's best friend and number one assistant, and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. He has the ability to magically deliver scrolls to and from Princess Celestia with his green fire-breath.
Biography[]
Spike is Twilight's assistant In My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. He is a juvenile purple dragon, whilst smaller than most his age. He is in love with Rarity and friends with ex bully Garble. Although he is considered a baby, he is one or two years younger than Twilight and other ponies.
Role in Ultima[]
In the Ultima multiverse, Spike's origins are further explored, Spike a member of a rare race of magical purple dragons, his egg, like Spyro's, actually from Skylands. He has the power to harness all of the Skylander elements similar to Spyro. He is now constantly encouraged by Twilight, Spyro and Rarity, helping him to achieve a greater destiny. One of his best friends in the Society is the Dinobot leader Grimlock.
Spike was a major hero in getting refugees to safety when the Organization attacked Equestria.
With his power fully unlocked, Spike has been transformed. He is now at the same height as Twilight, is winged, but has the same features, though a bit heightened. Spike is a powerful member of the Equestria Defence Force and is possibly their best chance of restoring the land. Unlike unicorns and alicorns, Spike needs to channel his magic through hand conjuration. His magic aura is more of a passive cleansing light than the sparks of the Elements of Harmony. Spike first achieved his new form when King Sombra came for revenge. He transformed during the fight and promptly sent Sombra flying.
Recently, he has discovered that he bears one of the long lost Dragon Elements of Honor, Heroism.
Since his transformation, Spike has been developing powers similar to Natsu from the mage guild Fairy Tail.
