The richest duck in the world, Scrooge is constantly seeking ways to further increase his wealth, and to avoid losing it. The only thing Scrooge values more than money is his family.
Scrooge has adopted the nephews, and as a result his rougher edges are smoothed out somewhat.
he is notably more jovial and less irritable in the cartoon. Scrooge credits his improved temperament to the nephews and Webby, saying that "for the first time since I left Scotland, I have a family."
